The HMT will piece together many things in the process of accessing, winning and establishing new believers who multiply to become movements of new believers.
Jesus said it’s harvest time; it was then and still is. The HMT will show you how you can be involved with God in triggering movements of new believers to Christ. In the HMT youʼll get the picture of ʻwhat makes movements moveʼ and practical ʻwhat needs to be doneʼ tools to get started.
Ideal for: Individuals who want to devote a significant amount of time to seeing movements initiated in least reached areas. – Those interested in what God is doing through church planting movements and want to explore more. – People overseeing others on the field or who visit the field regularly. – Mission organization team leaders. – Mission Reps. – Church Mission Pastors.
Harvest Multiplication Training equips individuals and whole ministries to focus on where the Gospel has yet to take root – the least reached population segments of the world. The HMT will train you to assess a yet-to-be- reached people group, a particular zone/region or a city and equip you to answer a KEY QUESTION:
“What actually needs to be done for ALL of this zone/region, city or people group to have access to the Good News and have multiple Church Planting Movements (CPMs) among them?”
This is very different from asking, “What could I personally do in such an area?”
It will also help you and your ministry find practical solutions to start moving towards the bigger vision. Small things do make a big difference! HMT is not about the latest ‘cool’ strategy, but about what needs to be done.
The HMT will provide an interactive learning environment where you can respond to case studies and other material; it is not a series of lectures. You will also develop a ‘road map’ for the future so you can run with the vision the Lord is giving you or your team to reach the lost.
Example of topics and issues covered:
- What is the “end vision” we should be aiming for? What needs to be done to achieve it?
- Leadership, vision and developing ministry based on an urgent desire to reach the lost.
- The DNA of multiplication, what makes a movement move?
- Defining what church is and examining its multiplication in your unique focus location.
- Abundant Seed Sowing and how to find where God is at work in your context.
- Moving from ‘a new believer’ to ‘a movement’. Using reproducible discipleship patterns.
- Working through key people and social networks.
- Community development and evangelism: pitfalls and possibilities.
- Planning: making a road map to keep you focused on the main things.
- Working with partner ministries and church planters.
- Using money wisely on the field: pitfalls and potentials.
- Mobilization of people, prayer and resources.
- Evaluation principles—how to ask the right questions to focus on fruitfulness.
- How to think strategically about reaching the lost (so they come into contact with the community transforming power of the Gospel and the Kingdom of God).
- Multiple case studies and table discussions.
