SLINGSHOT is an international leadership event. We are called to equip and develop leadership for the present and emerging generations to impact ALL spheres of influence around the world. Our particular niche is the young YWAM leader (17 - 35 years +/-) who is to understand 'where we have come from in order to understand where we are going' Within an environment of faith, revelation and impartation, an understanding is given of our history, values and vision as an apostolic movement.

SLINGSHOT focuses on three foundational 'pillars': **inner-personal foundations (character and integrity), **leadership foundations (principles of being an effective leader), and the **foundations of YWAM/U of N. The inter-generational relationships of leaders is a strong emphasis. There is a lot of room within the SLINGSHOT context for participation and application of what God is currently saying to us as a mission, as well as past words of the Lord.

SLINGSHOT is field-based, coming at the invitation of local, national and/or regional YWAM leadership. We are a U of N registered credited seminar that can be from 2 - 6 weeks in a given location. The strategy is to provide a context for spirit-led learning and processing on the 'front end' of a the young leader's experience and life, together with YWAM's founders and other experienced, international leaders within the mission. (Past speakers have included Lynn Green, Alejandro Rodriquez, John Dawson, Tom Bloomer, Loren and Darlene, David Hamilton, Edwin Filles, Joseph Avakian, Maureen Mennard, Howard Malmstadt, and others. Within every past SLINGSHOT event (Kona, Mexico, Argentina, Norway, Sweden and Korea) a new global network of leaders is formed. New ministries and visions have emerged that are both global and relevant. With the emergence of CALL2ALL,

SLINGSHOT events are even more vital in strengthening and networking our younger generation of YWAM leaders. Some criteria: **Participants have demonstrated a life of obedience, integrity and fear of the Lord. **There is a strong, recognized leadership gift that can be commended by their YWAM leader. **The participant has a long-term call to YWAM. **There is the a desire for understanding, and appreciation of, the YWAM foundational values, as well as alignment to the direction and vision of YWAM. **Participant is 18 - 35 years of age.
